How this is sourced, labeled, and corrected.
A resource worth trusting has to show its work. This page is the standard the writing holds itself to: what kind of claim you are reading, where the evidence comes from, how AI is used, and how mistakes get fixed.
Every claim is labeled
You should never have to guess what kind of statement you are reading. Consequential claims carry one of four labels:
Doctrine A proposed operating principle. My argument, offered to be used and argued with.
Operator heuristic A rule drawn from experience. Directionally useful; test it against your own numbers before you bet on it.
Evidence-backed Supported by primary research, data, or multiple independent cases, linked at the foot of the piece.
Regulatory Tied to a controlling regulation or standard, linked directly, and written to be checked by a qualified reviewer in your own organization.
Most of the numbers on this site, the rough shares and the rules of thumb, are honest operator heuristics, not measured facts, and they are labeled that way. Calling a heuristic a heuristic makes it stronger, not weaker.
Sourcing
Every new piece gets an internet-research pass for high-authority external sources, and those sources are linked in the piece, not buried in a private file. The rules:
- Primary over secondary. A regulation, a standard, or original research beats a summary of one.
- Vendor marketing statistics are treated as suspect and labeled as such, or left out.
- Regulatory and standards claims link the controlling document and stay hedged to "check with your own quality and regulatory function." Nothing here is legal advice.
- No invented or decorative citations, ever. If no honest source exists, the claim is labeled an operator heuristic and stands on its own.
AI assistance and human accountability
This publication is AI-assisted human work product. AI is used to draft, to pressure-test arguments, and to build the site itself. Alexander Titus is the author of record and owns every word, number, and diagram, no matter what produced the first version. There is no AI work product, only this. The full accounting is in how this was built by its own rules.
Corrections
When something here is wrong, it gets fixed in the open, and material corrections are noted on the piece rather than quietly overwritten. If you find an error or have a better source, send it. Good corrections are a gift, and the best ones become their own note.
Conflicts of interest
Where a piece touches a company, tool, or role I am connected to, that connection is disclosed in the piece. This site does not run sponsored content and does not take payment to feature a vendor.
Reuse
The writing and the artifacts are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. Copy them, adapt them, bring them into your company, put them in front of your board. Attribution to Translational Intelligence is all that is asked. The tools exist to be used.
